AIG Women's Open - Player by Player Review by Craig Thomson
With the upcoming AIG Women's Open, I thought I would try something different and provide you with a player by player review given my extent of knowledge on the Women's game now, looking to give you niche information and tips where possible about each individual.
Marina Alex - 2x LPGA Tour Winner that finished T9th on her AIG Women's Open i 2014, has made 8 of last 9 cuts at AIG. Recent Form of 41/MC/19/MC/MC/25/6.
Na Rin An - 4 Top 10's in 2024 including T2nd at Portland Classic 2 weeks ago. 2x Winner on the KLPGA in 2020. In the 4 Majors this year An has finished 30th/58th/46th & 12th. Was T41st & 66th in 2 tries at AIG Womens Open. MC last week at Dundonald Links but a player on the up!
Ela Anacona (Am) - Winner of Latin America Women's Amateur Championship in November. Ela is also a student at University of Arkansas.
Pajaree Annanarukarn - Thai star with her nickname being Meaw. 2x LPGA Tour Winner, last win coming in 2023 at T-Mobile Matchplay defeating Ayaka Furue in the Final. Has made 81 Cuts in 108 LPGA Starts. Had a Career Best 6th at Evian Championship in July. Current Form of 47/48/13/6/59 & 52.
Aditi Ashok - Hard Working 3x Olympian for India is a multiple time winner on LET. Winner of the 2015 British Amateur Strokeplay Championship. Best finish at AIG was T22nd in 2018. Needs to improve on her Major record only has 2 Top 25's in 31 Majors.
Celine Boutier - Former World Number 3 who won 2023 Evian Championship by 6 shots which included 3 other wins in 2023. Winner of Scottish Women's Open in 2023. T7th & T16th in last 2 AIG Women's Open appearances. Only has 1 Top 10 all season.
Ash Buhai - Winner of a thrilling AIG Women's Open in 2022 at Muirfield defeating 3x Major Champion In Gee Chjn in a 4 hole Playoff. Turned Pro on her 18th Birthday in 2007 & is a 22x Winner worldwide. Admits that AIG Womens Open is her favourite tournament, she is known for her on course management and patience.
Trichat Cheenglab - Won the Race to Costa Del Sol on the LET last year as well as Rookie of the Year. Has really struggled this year on LPGA Tour with her best result of the year at Jabra Ladies Open on LET finishing T23rd. Has missed cut both times in 2 Opens.
Peiyun Chien - Vastly experienced Taiwanese player that got her best result in a Major this year finishing T7th at Evian Championship, Peiyun is a 3x winner on Epson Tour. 5th appearance at AIG looking to make her first cut.
Hye Jin Choi - Supremely talented South Korean with 12x KLPGA wins at 24 years of age. Won the 2015 World Junior Girls' Championship. Choi has 4 Top 10's & 10 Top 25's in 23 Major Starts. Has mass ability.
Carlota Ciganda - A Solheim Cup stalwart with a ton of experience at the top level. 9x Winner between LET & LPGA Tours. Won the LET Order of Merit on her debut year in 2012. Had a Top 20 in 3 of 4 Majors last year. Fiesty and passionate Spaniard.
Allisen Corpuz - 2023 US Women's Open Champion at Pebble Beach. On a run of 6 cuts made in a row finishing no worse than T30th. Player with great pedigree who finished T6th at Walton Heath last year.
Lauren Coughlin - Simply put there is noone playing better Golf right now than Lauren Coughlin. 2 wins in last 4 starts after winning CPKC Women's Open in Calgary on her 101st LPGA start. One of the best iron players on the Tour. Amazing Ball Striker. Has gone 1st/9th/1st & 4th in last 4 starts and in the Majors has she was T3rd at Chevron, T24th at KPMG PGA and T4th at Evian Championship. One of the main contenders!
Olivia Cowan - Olivia was T9th last year at Walton Heath but has massively struggled this year on Tour with her best result on the LPGA Tour this year being T21st at Blue Bay LPGA in China in April.
Gabs Cowley - Qualified for her 4th AIG Women's Open after she finished in the Top 15 on the Race to Costa Del Sol standing on the LET. Has came close to winning on LET losing in a playoff to Alexa Pano at 2023 ISPS Handa World Invitational at Galgorm. Hasn't made the cut at AIG in 3 attempts.
Diksha Dagar - Oh Diksha the inspirational Indian lefty who battles adversity on a daily basis with being deaf. 2x LET Winner mostly recently 2023 Czech Ladies Open. Diksha was T21st at 2023 Women's Open. Very sharp putter on her day.
Klara Davidson Spilkova - 2x LET Winner who turned Professional in 2011 at 16 years old and was 7th for Rookie of the Year in her debut season. Has 2 Top 5's this year on the LET. T56th last year at Walton Heath. Klara withdrew from Scottish Women's Open last week after a +12 84.
Manon De Roey - Dominant 4 shot victory at Investec South African Open in April. Manon is a 2x LET Winner and studied Pyschology at University of New Mexico.
Perrine Delacour - Won her maiden title on the LET in June at Dormy Open in Helsingborgs. She is the winner of 2009 British Amateur Girls'. Perrine had the honour of hitting the opening tee shot at 2024 Olympics in Paris.
Gemma Dryburgh - The Popular Aberdonian was involved in last years thrilling Solheim Cup at La Finca Cortesin. Won in Japan in 2022. Has made 10 out of 17 cuts at Majors with 1 Top 10 being at Evian Championship in 2023.
Nicole Broch Estrup - Represented Denmark on 3 occasions at European Amateur Team Championship. Nicole showed lots of consistency on LET last year to qualify for this year's Championships.
Ally Ewing - Has been really consistent all year on LPGA Tour without winning. Had Top 5's in 2 of the Majors this year. 3x LPGA Tour winner and 2x Solheim Cup participant with her place on the USA Team for next month already secured. Has had a Top 10 at each of the 5 Majors. Ally had a 5 shot lead at halfway last year at Walton Heath.
Lexi Försterling - 4x winner on LET in the last 12 months. Has struggled a little bit on LPGA Tour this year for consistency at the top level but still is supremely talented. Lexi reached 11th in the world at Amateur level.
Ayaka Furue - Probably the most consistent player on Tour in the last 2 seasons which concluded with fulfilling her dream of being a Major Champion in July at Evian Championship. Won 2022 Scottish Women's Open at Dundonald Links. Great Ball Striker that is a massive danger when the Putter starts behaving. Rightful price at top of the markets.
Linn Grant - Made history by becoming a 2x winner of the co-sanctioned Scandinavian Mixed with the DP World Tour. Has a pretty good win record for someone who only turned Pro a few years ago. She finished T19th & T11th in her last 2 Open's. Fun fact is Linn went to the same school as Ludvig Åberg, Maja Stark & Madelene Sagström.
Hannah Green - A true phenom who has won 3 times in the last 14 months. Major winner in 2019. One of the best with an Iron in hand! Finished 4th at Paris Olympics after starting with an opening round of 77. Never gives up, very dogged competitor that is always a danger when in the mood.
Johanna Gustavsson - 31 year old Swede that was 2023 Ladies European Tour Players' Player of the Year which included a maiden win at Lacoste Ladies Open last September. Funnily enough Johanna has the same birthday as me the 13th of December!
Georgia Hall - Winner of the 2018 AIG Women's Open. Also won R&A Women's Amateur in 2013. 3x Solheim Cup star for Europe, 2x LET Order of Merit winner. Won on the LPGA Tour in 2020. Georgia has a 1st, 2nd & 3rd at AIG Women's Open. Charley Hull's best pal.
Nasa Hataoka - Has 11 Professional wins between LPGA Tour & JLPGA Tour. Nasa has been in the Top 25 in the world since 2018. Has had 6 Top 5's in 33 Major Starts. Nasa is indeed named after NASA the US Space Program Station.
Brooke Henderson - Canadian most successful Golfer. Canada's darling! 13x LPGA Tour winner including 2 Major Championship wins. 3x Olympian for Canada. Future LPGA Tour Hall of Famer no doubts about it. Form looks alright but far too many poor rounds when in contention.
Esther Henseleit - 2019 LET Order of Merit winner. Olympics Silver Medalist. Has had back to back Runner Up Finishes in last 2 weeks. 7th at both Chevron & Evian. Win is due very soon.
Maria Hernandez Muňoz - Experienced Spaniard that is finding her feet again after having a lot of injury and health problems to endure. Finished 14th at Royal Birkdale in 2010. Finished 2nd to Leona Maguire at Centurion Club.
Alice Hewson - Won her 2nd LET title in June at Swiss Ladies Open. Former European Amateur Champion. 2x Curtis Cup participant. Made her AIG Women's Open at Woburn in 2019 and finished T16th last year at Walton Heath. Has Links pedigree.
Charley Hull - The Nation's sweetheart & Miss Malbon herself. Has had 3 2nd's in Major Championhips including last year at Walton Heath to an incredible Lilia Vu. 6x Solheim Cupper. 3x LET Winner, 2x LPGA Tour Winner. Needs to make better decision at crucial times sometimes.
Lily May Humphreys - Won the Joburg Ladies Open in 2023. Was Top 20 last week at Dundonald Links. Had a good Amateur career winning English, Scottish & Irish Amateur Championships.
Jinhee Im - 6x KLPGA winner with 5 Top 20's this year. T18th last week at Dundonald Links. Finished T8th & T12th at 2 of the Majors this year.
Caroline Inglis - Defeated Andrea Lee in 2021 at Rose Ladies Series event in Scotland. Was T9th at KPMG PGA at Sahalee. Finished T22nd at 2020 AIG Women's Open at Royal Troon.
Nuria Iturrioz - 4x LET Winner who won Lalla Meryem Cup on her Rookie season on Tour in 2016. She is a 2x European Ladies Team Championship participant. Has 3 Top 10's in last 5 events including T10th last week in Scotland.
Akie Iwai - One half of the Iwai twins. World Ranked 37. 5x JLPGA Winner. Has had success at Majors T11th last year at AIG Women's Open & T10th at this year's Evian Championship in July. Talented.
Chisato Iwai - Chisato like her sister Akie is a 6x JLPGA Tour winner at 22 years of age. Finished a decent T13th at Honda LPGA Thailand in February on LPGA Tour & T19th at US Women's Open at Lancaster CC. Talented.
Ariya Jutanugarn - Former World Number 1. 12x LPGA Tour winner including 2016 AIG Women's Open at Woburn. Has had 13 Top 10's in Majors since 2016. Made her last 7 cuts in a row.
Mo Jutanugarn - Won Portland Classic 2 weeks ago in Oregon in impressive fashion with only 1 bogey in 72 holes. Won in 2018 on her 156th LPGA Tour start. Has had 19 Top 25's in 59 Majors.
Haeji Kang - Turned Pro in 2007. Made the cut 5 of her last 9 events at AIG Womens Open. T20th at 2018 AIG Women's Open & T5th at 2013 Chevron Championship.
Minami Katsu - Former Japan Amateur Champion. Won on the JLPGA at 15 years old where she was a first yea student at Kagoshima High. Finished T21st at Walton Heath last year.
Yui Kawamoto - Has great current form with 11 Top 10's in 2024. Recently moved into the Top 100 in the World.
Haruka Kawasaki - 4x JLPGA winner at 21 years old. Japanese Major Winner. Managed to get back into the Top 100 in the World.
Megan Khang - Won CPKC Women's Open last year. Elite Level Tee to Green player. Major Player. 14 Top 25's in 46 Major Starts. Megan is the 1st player of Hmong & Laotion descent to be on LPGA Tour.
A Lim Kim - Winner of 2020 US Women's Open on her Major Championship debut. Has 3 Top 10's in her last 9 Majors. 3 Top 10's in her last 5 starts on Tour.
Auston Kim - Played in 2022 US Women's Open. Was 3rd overall on the Epson Tour last year to gain LPGA Tour card this year. Has missed 6 of last 7 cuts.
Grace Kim - Winner of 2023 Lotte Championship on LPGA Tour. Raised by Korean born parents in New South Wales. Has been in contention a few times this year. Has potential.
Hyo Joo Kim - 23x Title Winner Worldwide. Has 7 Top 5's & 13 Top 10's in 44 Majors. Won the 2014 Evian Championship where she shot a -10 61 in Round 1. Form is okay.
I K Kim - 2017 AIG Women's Open Champion who had 12 Top 10's in Majors before breaking her duck. Broke the 54 hole record of 199.
Sei Young Kim - 12x LPGA Tour winner including 2020 KPMG PGA Championship. Product of Korea University. Has made 40 cuts in 49 Majors. Current Form is 41/MC/58/MC/MC/WD
Sara Kjellker - 12th on LET Order of Merit in her her Rookie Year last season. Talented Swede. 2x European Ladies Team Championship participant with Sweden. Was Runner up at 2023 Hero Women's Indian Open.
Cheyenne Knight - 3x All American at University of Alabama. 2023 Solheim Cup participant. 12 Top 10's in 82 LPGA Tour starts. Sparking back into some form after a poor season by her standards.
Jin Young Ko - A True Modern Great! The Boss Lady! Former World Number 1, 15x LPGA Tour winner. Has been consistent all year making last 11 cuts in a row. Leading Contender.
Lydia Ko - Newly crowned LPGA Tour Hall of Famer. 20x LPGA Tour winner. 3x Olympic Medalist (Full Set). Hitting some good form again with 3 Top 10s in a row including the Gold Medal at the Paris Olympics. Golfing Icon.
Sakura Koiwai - Prolific Winner on JLPGA Tour with 11 wins. Inside the Top 50 in the world. Finished T9th at US Women's Open at Lancaster in May. Super talented, watch out.
Nelly Korda - The Undisputed World Number 1 Player in the Women's Golf. 14x LPGA Tour winner. Went on a legendary run of 6 wins in 8 starts this year! Form not as good recently since the US Women's Open but one thing I always say is never ever ever count out the Greatest of All Time!!! Nells the Icon!
Jennifer Kupcho - 3x Number 1 Amateur player in the world, Winner of the Inagural Augusta National Women's Amateur. 2022 Chevron Championship Winner. Has only missed 1 cut since August last year. 9 Top 25's in the Majors. Can be lethal on her day.
Steph Kyriacou - Evian Championship Runner Up to Ayaka Furue in July. Extremely talented and capable Aussie. Has 5 Top 20's this year. As an Aussie she should be at home with the weather forecasted at St Andrews.
Bronte Law - 4x Winner at Pro Level won the Lalla Meryem Cup in Morocco in February. Current LET Order of Merit Number 1. Has made 6 of 7 cuts at AIG Women's Open. A battler!
Alison Lee - 2x Aramco Series Winner at Sotogrande & Riyadh with the latter being a 54 hole Tournament Record of -29. 3x Junior Solheim Cup Participant. Best Major finish was T6th at 2015 Evian Championship. Openly admitted that she nearly gave up the game in 2017. Find it startling she hasn't won on the LPGA yet.
Andrea Lee - Former World Amateur Number 1 Player while at Stanford University. 1x LPGA Tour Winner in 2022. Finished T3rd at this year's US Women's Open at Lancaster CC. Andrea is well known for her Putting Ability & Accurate Driving.
Mi Hyang Lee - Until the 2022 AIG Women's Open at Muirfield Mi Hyang had made 8 successive AIG's in a row! 2x LPGA Tour Winner that was the Runner Up at 2019 Chevron Championship. T11th at AIG in 2016.
Minjee Lee - Woozy's sister! Proper Ball Striker. 10x LPGA Tour Winner from Perth including 2 Major Victories. Was 3rd at Royal Troon in 2020. 5 Top 15's in her last 6 at AIG and has made 8 of her last 9 cuts on Tour. Was 18 & 36 hole leader at Dundonald before falling away at Weekend. Always dangerous.
Stacy Lewis - Was World Number 2 when she won at St Andrews in 2013. Back to Back Solheim Cup Captain for Team USA, was also a 4x Solheim Cup Player. Plays every so often. Will be watching with intrigue.
Lucy Li - 21 year old Californian who made her US Women's Open debut at 11 years old! 2x Epson Tour winner who still has massive potential to fulfil. Still has the talent!
Xiyu Janet Lin - Olympic Bronze Medalist who has never won at LPGA Tour level in over 200 starts. 3x LET Winner including Aramco Team Series Hong Kong in October 2023. Janet finished T17th in 2013 at St Andrews. Very consistent.
Gaby Lopez - Was the NCAA Individual Championship Runner Up while at University of Arkansas. Experienced Mexican who weirdly won all 3 of her LPGA Titles in 2 year gaps (2018, 2020 & 2022)
Julia Lopez Ramirez - World Amateur Number 2 who was the Winner of the 2023 European Amateur Championship defeating none other than Ingrid Lindblad. She is a Mississipi State Student.
Nanna Koertz Madsen - Won her maiden title on the LPGA in March 2022 at Honda LPGA Thailand. Won 3x on Epson Tour in 2017 alone. 3x Olympian for Denmark. Played in Solheim Cup of 2021. Was T5th in 2021 after being the 54 Hole Joint Leader. Nanna has 3 Major Top 10's.
Leona Maguire - The true MVP of Toledo in 2021 at Solheim Cup with an incredible performance of 4 & a half points from 5. Was World Amateur Number 1 for a record setting 135 weeks. Was the 1st Irish player to win on LET this year when she won Aramco Series event at Centurion Club. 2x LPGA Winner. Her sister Lisa is also a Golfer.
Marta Martin - Made the weekend last week at Dundonald Links in the lead up to this week's AIG Women's Open. Won her maiden LET title at Czech Ladies Open in June. Fun fact is both of Marta's 2 wins have come in the country of Czechia. Must love the air there!
Catriona Matthew - 2x Solheim Cup Captain on the winning side both times! Was a 9x Solheim Cup player in her own right. Won 2009 Women's Open at Royal Lytham & St Anne's. Was awarded both an MBE & an OBE. Grew up playing at North Berwick West Links. Legend
Wichanee Meechai - The Daughter of Asian Tour's Senior Tournament Director Wanchai Meechai. Winner of 5 events in Asia. Was leader for long parts of this year's US Women's Open at Lancaster before finishing T6th her best Major finish.
Jana Melichova - Only turned Pro in 2022 but is already a 2x LET Champion with the latest being Dutch Ladies Open in July after a collapse from Kim Metraux. Graduated with a Degree in International Business at Old Dominion University where she was 2019 Conference USA Freshman of the Year.
Morgane Metraux - Winner of the Jabra Ladies Open in May at Evian Resort. Contended for the majority of this year's Paris Olympics before falling away at the end. Made the cut last year at AIG. Missed the entirety of 2019 with a shoulder injury.
Hira Naveed - New Zealand born Aussie Rookie on the LPGA Tour this year but has already finished Runner up to Nelly Korda at Ford Championship in Arizona. Gained LPGA Tour card through LPGA Tour Q Series in 2023, she is making her Open Debut.
Yuna Nishimura - 6x JLPGA Winner who was in the Top 40 in the world in 2021. MC & T21st in 2 AIG Open appearances. Form has been miles off of late.
Yealimi Noh - Was on the winning side for both 2017 Junior Solheim Cup & 2018 Junior Ryder Cup sides. Was selected for the Solheim Cup at 20 years old. Was T3rd at 2022 Evian Championship. Showing promising signs again still only 23.
Anna Nordqvist - One of the most decorated players in the modern era of Women's Golf. The vastly experienced Swede is a 3x Major Champion, a multiple LPGA Tour winner and a stalwart of European Solheim Cup sides. Has gone through some troubling times over the past couple of years. Great player
Momoko Osato - 3x JLPGA Winner who qualified for The Championship by winning the Suntory Ladies Open on the JLPGA in June defeating the red hot Miyuu Yamashita in the process.
Ryann O'Toole - Experienced American who was Runner up to Nelly Korda at Palos Verdes in March losing in a Playoff. Winner of 2021 Scottish Women's Open. Has made 7 of her last 9 cuts on Tour. Fun fact is that Ryann was a contestant on the Reality TV show 'The Big Break' in 2010.
Alexa Pano - Won ISPS Handa World Invitational at Galgorm in 2022 on her 19th Birthday. Alexa made her JLPGA debut at 11 years old. She is a 3x National Finish at Drive, Chip & Putt. Has a brilliant short game.
Emily Kristine Pedersen - Winner of Both the 2013 European Amateur Championship & 2014 World Amateur Championship. 2015 LET Rookie of the Year with multiple wins on LET. Back to Back Solheim Cup Participant for Europe.
Ana Pelaez Trivino - Won by 6 shots at 2022 Madrid Open on LET. Finished 12th at Augusta National Women's Amateur in 2022. Was a student at University of South Carolina.
Lisa Pettersson - 2nd time playing at AIG Women's Open for Lisa. She missed one of her best friends weddings to play the 2023 Helsingborg Open which she won for her maiden LET title.
Sophia Popov - The fairytale story of 2020 when she went from playing on the Cactus Tour in Lockdown to Major Champion after winning 2020 AIG Women's Open at Royal Troon. First ever German Women's Major Champion. Has a dual nationality with US. Returned to LPGA Tour in March this year after becoming a mum in 2023.
Paula Reto - Followed in the footsteps of compatriot Ash Buhai in Aug 2022 by winning CPKC Women's Open on LPGA Tour. Won on the Sunshine Tour in South Africa by a whopping 10 shots in 2023. Was 3rd in 2013 NCAA Championships. Has a bit of a swagger on the course.
Gabriela Ruffels - The extremely impressive young Australian who had he season of her life last year on Epson Tour topping the Order of Merit to win her LPGA Tour card for this year where she has already had 3 3rd placed finishes in her Rookie Season. T6th last week at Scottish Women's Open is a positive.
Louise Rydqvist - University of South Carolina student who qualifies for St Andrews after winning the European Ladies Amateur Championships in July. Louise was also the finalist at 2022 Women's Amateur Championship and won on the Swedish Golf Tour at 19 years old.
Haeran Ryu - Won her maiden LPGA Tour title last year in Arkansas in her Rookie Year. The Best Greens in Regulation Hitter in Women's Golf. Has had chances to win her last 2 events in a row that she has teed it up. 3 Top 10's in the 4 Majors this year for Ryu.
Madelene Sagström - Was part of an amazing dual with Rose Zhang at Cognizant Founders Cup earlier in the season. Was Joint Runner up at 2021 AIG Women's Open at Carnoustie. Was 1 of 6 wildcard picks for 2021 Solheim Cup in Ohio. Has been very consistent this year.
Mao Saigo - Currently the top of Rookie of the Year standings on LPGA Tour. Finished Runner Up in Canada a few weeks ago to Coughlin. Now inside the Top 50 in the World. Won 5x on JLPGA Tour in a 12 week period in 2022. Was 3rd at 2022 Evian & T7th at KPMG PGA Champs at Sahalee this year.
Shuri Sakuma - Has made 20 of 22 cuts this year in 2024 including 3 2nd's & 10 Top 10's. Getting close to a maiden JLPGA win.
Kokona Sakurai - Was a 4x JLPGA as a teenager. T50th last year at Walton Heath. Still only 20 years old. One to watch?
Yuka Saso - 2x US Women's Open Champion with one of the best Sundah displays seen in a long time at Lancaster this year! Won her 1st USWO as a 19 year old! Has represented both her parents' nationalities of Japan & Philippines at Olympics. Hits the ball as sweet as a nut & hits it an absolute country mile.
Sarah Schmelzel - Finished career best of T9th at KPMG PGA this year after being joint leader with Amy Yang at halfway in Seattle. Had 7 Top 10's on Epson Tour in 2018. A player that is greatly improving.
Hinako Shibuno - The Smiling Cinderella that shocked the world by winning 2019 AIG Women's Open at Woburn in her first ever Golf Tournament outside of Japan. A player that always seems to play her best stuff at the biggies. The most infectious smile ever. She's a great character to have!
Jenny Shin - Experienced Pro of 14 Years on Tour who has 3 Major Top 10's in the last 2 years. Was the 2006 US Girls' Champion. Has only missed 1 cut all season and had a season best finish of T3rd in Canada last month.
JiYai Shin - 2x AIG Women's Open Champion who remarkably won by 9 shots in 2012 at Royal Liverpool. Won 10 times in 19 starts on the KLPGA Tour in 2007. Jiyai had 25 weeks as World Number 1 player in 2010. Serial winner
Emma Spitz - Was involved in an epic German Masters event in May where she narrowly lost out to Lexi Försterling in a Playoff. Has had 6 Top 20's this year on LET. Made her AIG Debut in 2019 at 19 years old. Was T29th at Paris Olympics.
Maja Stark - This Feisty & Dogged competitor with a Bubbly personality it's no wonder that many people love Maja as she's great fun. 6x LET Winner including the co-sanctioned LPGA event in Northern Ireland in 2023. Has 2nd's this year on Tour losing out only to Nelly Korda at Chevron Champs & Hannah Green in LA. It's always going to be about temperament with Stark.

Jasmine Suwannapura - Birth name is Thidapa but known as Jasmine. 2x LPGA Tour Winner who was 2nd in 2020 at Royal Troon. Represented Thailand at 2009 SouthEast Asian Games. She is an avid Gamer.
Ai Suzuki - Modern day legend in Japan. 20x JLPGA Tour winner who won 7 titles alone in 2019. Has made 7 Cuts in 11 Majors with best here of T14th in 2017. Doesn't play much outside of Japan.
Rio Takeda - Current #1 on the JLPGA Tour Order of Merit standings with 3 wins in the space of 6 weeks. Was T9th at US Women's Open in May. Rio is currently inside the World's Top 50.
Chiara Tamburlini - 5 Top 10's in her Rookie Season on LET including a 7 shot win at Joburg Ladies Open in April. Currently ranked 1st in the race for LET Rookie of the Year. Won on her Pro Debut in 2023 at Gothenburg. She made the weekend of her First Major at Evian Champs. Chiara's idol is the great Roger Federer.
Shannon Tan - Won Magical Kenya Open on her Professional Debut in February. Made history by becoming Singapore's 1st ever Olympic Golfer. Shannon is a massive advocate for growing the game back in Singapore. I heard she's loves a beer!!
Bailey Tardy - Won her maiden LPGA title this year at Blue Bay LPGA in China but has struggled since then for any consistency. 3x US Open Participant as an Amateur. She is good friends with recent 2x LPGA winner Lauren Coughlin. Bailey & her dog love going adventures & exploring!
Patty Tavatanakit - 2021 Chevron Champion who after a 1000 days won again on Tour at both Saudi International on LET then back home in Thailand in back to back weeks! 1st Rookie to win Chevron since Juli Inkster in 1984. Absolute Powerhouse Driver of the Golf Ball.
Amy Taylor - University of Texas Tech graduate who was the Winner of Italian Ladies Open on LET in June and won on the LET Access Series in 2022. Has some good promise about her.
Atthaya Thitkul - Known to many as 'Jeeno' Thitkul was a Former World Number 1 at 19 years old! Made history in 2017 when at 14 years old she won LET Thailand Championship becoming the youngest ever event winner. Had 13 Top 10's in 21 events last year. Has had some strapping round her wrists a couple of times recently.
Lexi Thompson - This will be Lexi's last hoorah at a Major Championship as she announced her intention to retire from Professional Golf at 29 years old. 11x LPGA winner, multiple Solheim Cup appearances. A True Icon, Pioneer & Role Model to Young Women.
Yani Tseng - Winner of 5 Majors in 4 Years including Back to Back AIG Womens Open Titles in 2010 & 2011. Was extremely dominant sub 2013 and is a legend in Chinese Taipei.
Albane Valenzuela - Although a fully pledged Swiss citizen Albane was born in New York City to a French mother & a Mexican father. She changed allegiance at 14. Attended the world renowned Stanford University with the likes of Andrea Lee. Shot a final day 63 to finish 2nd to Patty T in Thailand this year.

Lilia Vu - The Defending Champion who won last year by 6 shots after a Sunday masterclass at Walton Heath. Won Chevron & AIG Womens Open last year en route to 4 titles. 2023 Rolex Player of the Year. Won on her first start back after a 2 month injury lay off with a Back injury. Often worry about her back.
Lauren Walsh - Helped Wake Forest University to win 2023 NCAA Div 1 Women's Title. Consistent performer on LET this year with 4 Top 10's. Finished T42nd at AIG in 2021 as an Amateur. Really high ceiling for Walsh.
Chanettee Wannasaen - 2x LPGA Winner having won Dana Open just over a month ago. Monday Qualified into Portland Classic last year where she blitzed everyone to win at -26 to win at 19! Her nickname is 'Proud'.
Karrie Webb - One of the Greatest of All Time and Australia's greatest ever export with 41 wins on LPGA Tour with 7 being Majors including 3 AIG Women's Open titles in 1995, 1997 & 2002. Noone has played his tournament better than the Aussie. Idol for every Australian player. LPGA Hall of Famer.
Lottie Woad - Put on a masterclass performance to win Augusta National Women's Amateur Championship. Currently the Best Amateur Player in the World. Finished T23rd in her Major Debut at Chevron in April. Became the first English Woman to win Mark H. McCormack Medal. Could be the next best English superstar.
Chun Wei Wu - Stunned the Amateur World by going wire to wire and winning Asia-Pacific Women's Amateur in February. Has 4 wins as an Amateur. Achieved another impressive feat in July when she got a hole in one at 5th hole at Evian Championship.
Miyuu Yamashita - Prolific Winner on the JLPGA with 11 Victories in just over 2 Years. Has been a consistent threat all yea at the Majors with T17th at Chevron, T12th at US Women's Open & T2nd at KPMG PGA in June and was also in contention for long spells at Paris Olympics. Could be a serial winner very soon.
Amy Yang - Winner of KPMG PGA Championship in June after 17 years of trying with a masterful display a Sahalee. Won the Smyth Salver for Best Amateur at AIG in 2006. 6x LPGA Tour winner with 21 Top 10's in Majors including T4th at Walton Heath last year. Late bloomer.
Angel Yin - Won the California State Amateur Championship at 12 years old. Competed at 2015 Junior Solheim Cup for USA & was a wildcard pick at 2017 Solheim Cup. Was Runner Up at 2023 Chevron Championship to Vu in a Playoff. Missed a bulk of action this year with an ankle injury but seems back to health.
Ruoning Yin - Was Number 1 player in the World in September 2023. Only 2nd ever Women's Major Winner for China after winning 2023 KPMG PGA at Baltusrol. Has 5 Top 25's in 10 Majors as a Pro. Won Dow Champs with Thitkul in June. Has had wrist problems to deal with. Ronni is a true superstar.
Hikaru Yoshimoto - Earned place at St Andrews thanks to a 3rd placed finish at Suntory Ladies Open due to Miyuu Yamashita already being exempt into the Majors. Was a JLPGA Tour Winner last year.
Arphichaya Yubol - Had openly admitted to struggling to find her feet at LPGA Tour level missing a ton of cuts before rocking upto Lancaster in May where she finished T5th at USWO. Since then she has made 8 cuts in a row before MC last week at Dundonald. Very much a confidence player.
Rose Zhang - The Best Amateur Player in Modern History with 10 Wins including Augusta National Women's Amateur in 2023. History making moment when Rose won on her Professional Debut at Liberty National in 2023 and was also involved in an epic battle with Sagström at Founders Cup also in New Jersey which she won. Has competed in Majors and Olympics in such a short space of time. Remarkable talent.

Annabell Fuller - Very talented LET Rookie with a high ceiling. Has made 11 cuts in 15 events this year on LET with a best finishnof T10th at Dormy Open in Helsingborg. 2020 Women's Amateur Runner Up & 3x Curtis Cup Participant for GB&Ire. 2nd AIG appearance (1st as a Pro).
Emma Grechi - French Pro of 7 years on LET with best finish this year of T12th in New South Wales in Australia. Qualified for both St Andrews & Walton Heath via Final Qualifying.
Kristen Gillman - 2x Women's Amateur Champion, Palmer Cup Winner, Curtis Cup Winner, Toyota Junior World Cup Winner & 1x JLPGA Winner as an Amateur in 2018. Finished 6th at Chevron in 2019 & 11th here at Royal Troon in 2020. Has pedigree.
Casandra Alexander - 5x Sunshine Tour Winner. 2018 South African Stroke Play Champion. Johannesburg native with 2 Top 5's in her 12 starts this year after an injury layoff. Cas' husband is a full time body builder.
Noora Komulainen - Winner of the Team Element of Aramco Team Series of Sotogrande in 2022. Pro of 11 Years.
Lauren Hartlage - 2nd after 54 holes this year at KPMG PGA in June finished T5th in the end. 2017 Atlantic Coast Freshman of the Year while at University of Louisville. Won the Palmer Cup for America in 2021 by defeating none other than Ingrid Lindblad to win it.
Patricia Isabel Schmidt - 1x LET Winner in 2023 at Belgian Ladies Open. Recently won on LETAS at Ahlsell Open in Sweden. Has had 4 Top 15's this year on LET. Playing with some confidence.
Lee-Anne Pace - Timeless South African with 11x LET wins in her 19 year playing career so far. 2x LET Player of the Year. Veteran.
Jodi Ewart Shadoff - Was Runner Up at 2017 AIG Women's Open and has had a Top 20 at every Major. Defeated Yuka Saso to win her maiden LPGA Tour title at LPGA Mediheal Championship in Oct 2022. Very experienced.
Steph Meadow - Graduated from University of Alabama where she was a career record holder for Alabama. Finished T3rd in her Pro Debut at 2014 US Women's Open at Pinehurst. Recently came back from injury problems.
Ursula Wikström - 44 year old Finnish veteran with 5 Runners Up Finishes in her Pro career on LET. Was T46th in her only ever Major appearance at AIG Women's Open in 2009. Turned Pro back in 2003.
