Cognizant Classic in The Palm Beaches preview 2024

Image
PGA Tour rookie Jake Knapp was victorious last week in Mexico after a really impressive ball striking week for him. He ened the week 1 st for Strokes Gained: Approach where he gained over eight strokes on the field and he also finished 1 st in the field for Strokes Gained: Total, gaining over 14 strokes on the field! A pretty impressive week from the Rookie for sure. Two places for the blog last week in Mexico made it a profitable week if you follow my staking plan! 35/1 Patrick Rodgers and 40/1 Doug Ghim were the successors for us. Lets hope for more of the same this week. Cognizant Classic in The Palm Beaches Players travel around 1800 miles east, across the border to Palm Beach Gardens in Florida for the newly named Cognizant Classic for this year (formerly known at The Honda Classic), home of the Bear Trap (Holes 15, 16 and 17). Another test this week played on the Champion Course at PGA National Resort & Spa, which will present the players with a stiff, windy test, ...

Mexico Open 2024 preview

A week off for me last week, between a busy week at work and prepping for a four-night holiday in Italy, the Golf last week started before I had chance to even look at the field for the Gensis Open, so apologies to those who were waiting for my blog to drop. Hideki Matsuyama was victorious at odds of around 75/1, making him the shortest winner on the PGA Tour this year… yes, you read that right. He had been flirting with some form for the last 12 months or so, but the wrist and back injuries have always seemed to hinder his progress. It was the 2019 Masters Champs first win since he romped away to the Sony Open title at the start of 2022. With The Masters two months away, you can still get Deki at odds of around 30/1, if he keeps on striking the ball the way he did last week at Riviera, he may well enter the reckoning for me. Onto this week then… Mexico Open Players this week travel into Mexico, where they will compete for the Mexico Open in the town of Puerto Vallarta at Vidan...

Waste Management Phoenix Open Preview

Welcome to my first Golf preview on my blog. I will be posting Golf previews on here for the foreseeable future over the different Tours, mainly the PGA Tour and DP World Tour.  Any feedback & comments at the bottom of this preview would be much appreciated. Let's get stuck into this week shall we! Waste Management Phoenix Open This week, we move to the desert scene of Scottsdale, Arizona where players will compete on the Stadium Course at TPC Scottsdale.  Not only will the players deal with desert/wasteland areas if they veer off track too far, they will also have to factor in the altitude this week with the course being approximately 1300 feet above sea level. Meaning, the ball will travel further, resulting in plenty of calculations being made by player and caddy all week.  Not only this but  the players will face a raucous crowd this week with a ‘stadium’ like atmosphere throughout. In 2023, there was reportedly over 600,000 spectators that attended the ...
